Description:
From the parking at le Laus follow the ski de fond track on the left (piste forestiere du Blétonnet leading to the Bois du Balais). Follow this track into the valley on the left (south-east). After a long straight section from the hut it bears left and climbs steadily. At around 2030m you should have an opening in the trees on your left (east). Turn off the path here and start to climb. (It is possible to turn off earlier in the trees but there isn’t much difference.) Go up the open ground to reach a small gully. Once in the gully a wide path (in summer) leads left (north). Follow it as it zigzags up the hill. At the top it opens out again. From a small cabin head up and rightwards (east), ascending two steeper slopes to arrive at the col.
Descent:
Ski back down the two steeper slopes, then you have a choice: head right and go back towards the cabin then down through the trees on the right, or stay more in line with the steeper slopes and ski down gullies to the original opening. Both tracks then follow the ski de fond track back to the parking. (Please be careful of people using the ski de fond track.)
